Taste of the Bluegrass is back for its 40th year and they are cooking up something special on this landmark, anniversary year. Head down to Keeneland’s Keen Barn & Entertainment Center for the signature food event to launch us into Summer. Taste of the Bluegrass is a celebration of food and beverages of course, but there’ll also be live music by the Mercy Men and a silent auction to keep you entertained.
More than fifty different local restaurants, breweries, wineries and distilleries will be on hand so you can taste the best they have to offer. This event is for ages 21 and up so bring along your valid photo ID to attend.
You can also take advantage of the opportunity to meet Kentucky’s own Food Network Star – Jason Smith! The self-taught cook and baker from Grayson, Kentucky has won both Food Network Star and Holiday Baking Championship and will be joining the judges’ team to find the best dessert made with his “southern trinity” of bacon, bourbon and butter.
Proceeds from the event will benefit God’s Pantry Food Bank’s work of feeding food insecure Central and Eastern Kentucky families, children, and senior citizens.
