COVID 19 header - Coronavirus closures article

This is an ever-evolving, incomplete list of all of the closures and cancellations we have heard about in Kentucky due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will update as often as possible but do check with event organizers and your child’s specific school district about any closures that affect you and your family personally! Stay healthy Kentucky!

*** UPDATE: Governor Beshear has asked Kentucky schools to stay closed until at least May 1st and we expect most, if not all school districts to follow suit! We will update specific school districts below as we are able and as news is released about expected returns to school, if any are released.****

Closures and cancellations are listed by county in alphabetical order. In the event of school closures, please be in contact with your child’s specific school in order to understand expectations about e-learning, homeschooling and non-traditional instruction days.

Many churches have decided to cancel services or move services online. Please check with your church before heading out for services. Many libraries and community centers have also been closed or have had events canceled.

Event cancellations are quickly sweeping across Kentucky. We are adding things as we hear of them, but with such rapidly changing news, it’s best to check before you head out to any events.
